  One  of  the  fastest  growing  Motor  Sports  in  the  World  today  is  now  available  on  the  Coffs  Coast.    
 

“Drifting”  an  extreme  sport,  started  out  in  Japan  over  30  years  ago,  however,  it  has exploded  in  popularity  throughout  the  world  over  the  last  two  years.

   
  Unlike  other  types  of  Motor  Sport  it  is  not  just  about  who  is  fastest  or  who  crosses  the  line  first.    
  “Drifting”  is  a  driving  technique  of  turning  your  car  sideways,  usually  the  front  wheels  are  pointing  in  the  opposite  direction  to  the turn,  the  driver  controls  these  factors.    
 

“Drifting”  is  usually  a  short  course  of  3  to  4  corners,  where  the  drivers  slide  their  cars, the  rest  of  the  track  is  for  setting  up  their   drift  into  the  corner.

   
  Raleigh  Raceway  have  been  running  “Drift”  practice  days  since  2008  and  have now  introduced  a  four  round  “Drift”  Series.    
  The  Series  will  attract  30  to  40  drivers  from  Queensland  and  New  South  Wales  and is  sponsored  by  G  K  Denney  Tyres  Coffs  Harbour.
